miaLIst now open for 2024 nominations

The nominations period for the 2024 miaList is now open, as the Meetings Industry Association (mia) prepares to highlight the sector’s finest talent for its thirteenth consecutive year.

Celebrating inspirational individuals, teams and initiatives which go above and beyond the call of duty to make their organisation a success, competition is always fierce among the UK’s business meetings and events professionals to gain a place on the much sought after roll of honour.

Three new categories have been added to this year’s miaList including Best New Initiative, Event of the Year and Campaign of the Year, which will be presented during a glitzy ceremony being held at Hilton Liverpool City Centre on Thursday 7 November.

Returning titles include the dedicated Team of the Year awards for those in Events & Operations, Sales & Marketing, as well as those representing Destinations.

The miaList remains free to enter with nominations welcome from anyone working within, or associated with, the UK’s business meetings and events industry, with the exception of the individual titles which are exclusive to mia members.

Nominations will be assessed by an expert panel of judges spanning all reaches of the sector. For all team and initiative awards, there will also be an additional judging stage in which those shortlisted by the panel will be subject to a weighted public vote.

Kerrin MacPhie, chief executive of the mia, said: “Now in its thirteenth year, the opening of the miaList nominations remains one of the most anticipated days of the mia calendar as, once again, we prepare to shine a spotlight on the incredible talent we have working in the business meetings and eventssector.

“The miaList provides the perfect opportunity for organisations to publicly reward their teams’ and individuals’ outstanding efforts and successes. We’re excited to receive nominations from all areas of the sector, whether the talent comes from those who are client-facing or work behind-the-scenes, the miaList provides recognition for all who are excelling in their roles.”
