Central Hall Westminster (CHW) has reported its highest annual revenue since opening, with increased demand for venue takeovers, multi-day events and international business helping drive growth.
The London venue said revenue for its latest trading year was 8% above pre-COVID levels and 10.72% higher than the previous year, marking a new all-time record.
More than 1,000 events were hosted at CHW during the year, while the venue reported a client retention rate of 42%.
Its event mix has increasingly included larger venue takeovers and multi-day bookings, alongside a greater focus on attracting international clients. Major events staged during the period included the global premiere of Netflix’s Wednesday season two, ECCN 2025, Global Progress 2025, Gala de Danza and UNGA at 80.
The performance follows continued investment in the venue, including the opening of its Susanna Wesley event space in September 2025.
A further phase of development is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026, with investment earmarked for digital infrastructure, connectivity, cybersecurity and event technology.
Ben Jeffery-Milheirão, Interim Head of Sales & Marketing at Central Hall Westminster, said the results reflected both the range of events being attracted to the venue and ongoing reinvestment in its facilities.
“From graduations to conferences and concerts we are flexible to be able to host a range of event types, while reinvesting into our facilities like the Susanna Wesley to stay industry leading and our international expansion to appeal to some of the world’s biggest brands and businesses,” he said.
CHW has operated as an events venue since 1912 and has hosted occasions ranging from the inaugural United Nations General Assembly in 1946 to appearances by figures including Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi.
The venue said further investment in sustainability and its workforce would accompany its technology and facilities programme as it looks to build on its record trading performance.
