Dining, Conferencing and Meeting sites top the list of venue solutions event professionals are sourcing for their 2026 projects, according to our exclusive research.
The buying trends have been revealed in the lead up to next month’s London Venues Summit, which takes place on July 13th at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms.
Delegates registering to attend are asked which areas they needed to invest in during 2026 beyond, with a significant 60%+ on the hunt for each of the three top categories, with the top five rounded out by Corporate Hospitality and Quirky Venues.
The top 3 differs slightly from 12 months ago, when Dining, Conferencing and Unique sites topped the list.
One of the key advantages of attending the London Venues Summit is that it allows buyers to inform the organisers about the challenges they are facing in sourcing and managing supplier contracts, as well as any new projects they are developing.
By understanding these current buyer trends, we can curate a schedule, matching the right suppliers and educational seminars specially to the buyers’ individual needs, increasing the likelihood of productive discussions and valuable connections.

Sarah Beall, Managing Director at Forum Events & Media, said: “Venue sourcing remains one of the most important strategic decisions for event organisers, so it’s encouraging to see strong demand across dining, conferencing and meeting spaces. What stands out this year is the breadth of requirements, from corporate hospitality and quirky venues to boutique hotels and team building spaces, which shows buyers are looking for more tailored, memorable and flexible event experiences.
“The London Venues Summit is designed around these live buyer needs. By understanding exactly what delegates are sourcing for 2026 and beyond, we can connect them with the most relevant suppliers and content, helping to create more productive conversations and stronger commercial outcomes for everyone involved.”
